Kirkland Strict Baptist Chapel is associated with the Gospel Standard group of churches. These churches believe in the Calvinistic doctrines of free and sovereign grace and baptism by full immersion on profession of faith. The Gospel Standard Magazine was first published in 1835 and continues monthly to this day.
Our cause is pleased to support the work of the Trinitarian Bible Society which was formed in 1831 to circulate uncorrupted versions of the Word of God. We also support the work of Day One Christian Ministries (formerly The Lord’s Day Observance Society) which was also formed in 1831 to “preserve the sanctity and benefit of the Lord’s Day in our increasingly commercialized and secular society.” We hold one collection per year for each of these societies.
